Charles Z. Chasakara is a CTU Community Engagement Coordinator with the University of Zimbabwe College of Health Sciences – Clinical Trial Research Centre (UZCHS-CTRC), where he coordinates community engagement for five research networks, namely, HPTN, IMPAACT, MTN, ACTG and HVTN. Charles has 15 years of research experience, eight of them in a community engagement capacity. Charles holds a BSc Honors Degree in Sociology and a Post Graduate Diploma in Project Planning Management. He serves in the following international committees: HPTN Community Working Group (CWG) Steering Committee, MTN Network Evaluation Committee (NEC), and the MTN Resource Working Group. He is also s a CWG protocol team representative for a number of protocols across the five research networks mentioned above.
