Jonathan Lucas
Jonathan Paul Lucas, Director of Community Programs, is a public health educationalist with community engagement experience that spans more than two decades. He has a strong theoretical background in public health with practical experience in academic, community, and clinical settings where he places special emphasis on patient education, community capacity building, public health advocacy, and clinical research management both domestically and internationally. In his role at the HPTN, he oversees the community engagement program which provides technical assistance to clinical research sites and community-based organizations that implement cost-effective scalable research, programs, and services to populations deemed marginalized.
