Mina Hosseinipour is HPTN 084 protocol co-chair and professor of medicine at the University of North Carolina (UNC) at Chapel Hill School of Medicine and the scientific director of UNC Project-Malawi in Lilongwe, Malawi. After completing her training in internal medicine, infectious diseases, and epidemiology, Mina moved to Lilongwe in 2001 to begin preparations for the HPTN 052 study.

Viet Anh Chu is the Research Manager at The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill’s office in Vietnam. He manages HPTN 074 at Pho Yen CRS in Thai Nguyen, Vietnam and HPTN 083 at Yen Hoa CRS in Hanoi, Vietnam. He holds an undergraduate degree in Public Health from Hanoi University of Public Health, Vietnam. He completed his Masters of Public Health at the University of Melbourne, Australia. His research focuses on HIV prevention for PWID, MSM, and transgender women.

Sarah Fidler, MBBS, PhD, FRCP, is currently working in the Department of Medicine at Imperial College London as a clinical academic; she is a Professor and Consultant Physician in HIV Medicine. Sarah has been involved in designing and leading HIV international clinical studies for participants identified in acute HIV infection, and small proof of concept studies in HIV cure.
