March 1, 2022
The HPTN has partnered with Learning Pool to provide our HPTN/CoVPN staff and studies with H.E.L.P., the HPTN Educational Learning Portal. H.E.L.P. is a learning management system that has been designed to meet the training needs of our staff, in either a learner or instructor capacity. Starting on March 1, 2022, H.E.L.P. will be live for users to take part in exciting courses, either tailored for engagement within the LMS or live seminars. Instructions for accessing accounts, along with information on how to request an account for you or someone else, will be emailed out separately.
Learners
H.E.L.P. was designed with the user’s ease of use in mind. The platform has a very minimalistic design so that you can get where you need to go within the platform fast, while keeping a trail of breadcrumbs to help you go back if need be. Learners can browse the course catalog to find any of the available courses or be directly assigned content deemed most important by a manager. We hope to engage with you on this exciting new platform very soon!
Instructors and Managers
Two of the most important criteria utilized when selecting H.E.L.P. as the system for the HPTN was finding a platform that not only allowed but encouraged learner engagement and the retention of information. Through the partnership with Learning Pool, we have access to Adapt, a course building tool that allows for content to be created and uploaded to H.E.L.P. With Adapt, course creators have the ability to customize everything from background images to conditional questioning assessments as they utilize over 30 different ways to display information to learners.
In addition to all the creativity offered with your courses, H.E.L.P. also allows instructors access to in-depth reporting metrics to boost retention of their content while also allowing managers to quickly assign courses and measure completion among their learners.
If you have content you would like to reach an audience, please reach out to Jeffrey Webb or Kyle Hayden to discuss your ideas.
